Good show, mates!
A hearty thanks to all of you that came out to see Spooncat! in action Friday night! The horns were slammin', guitar was kickin', bass was thumpin, keyboards were jammin', and... that should be everybody...

Forty-seven hours and thirty minutes to go!
I've been informed that ticket sales for our Spooncat! show at the Sioux Falls Orpheum this coming Friday are going well. Please be sure to secure a ticket! We'll be featured in a newspaper article tomorrow about the theater's reopening and I wanted to make sure you all have the chance at tickets before the paper hits newsstands and computer screens!
Arena Box Office or ticketmaster.com. I recommend Arena Box Office, but desperate times call for desperate measures...

What if I told you I had a surefire way to waste valuable time?
I have that surefire way: www.sporcle.com.
You should keep trying the "Countries Of The World" game until you can correctly name all 195 in 6 minutes and 10 seconds, like I just did. Otherwise, you could continue other pursuits, like engaging with the outside world or cleaning up after yourself. Working, sleeping. You have options, I guess that's my point.
Here's a hint: Bhutan is a country. It's up in the Himalayas.

Jeremy, backed up by Emo Phillips on the piano...
Yes, Emo had forgotten the words to his own song, but I knew them. For some reason he knew the piano part (an instrument he barely plays) while I, the professional keyboardist, did not know the piano part. A match made in heaven. Or a dungeon-looking restaurant...

Random Ten™ makes its triumphant return!
In looking over the archives from 2005, it appears that I had 11,554 songs on my computer and Joel Broveleit had somewhere in the neighborhood of 31,000. Heady days, heady days...
Now, I'm closing in on 80,000 and there's a good chance that the Random Ten™ lists will become a whole lot more, well... random.
1) I Just Don't Understand - The Beatles (Live At The BBC)
2) Deed I Do - Ray Charles
3) Slave Driver - Bob Marley
4) Procession - New Order
5) Uncle Bud - Terrance Simien
6) Dust My Broom (version 2) - Freddie King
7) Mellow Mood - Wes Montgomery
8) Mystified, Heavy - Sam Roberts
9) Out Of Nowhere - Charlie Parker
10) Kit Kat Jam - Dave Matthews Band
Huh.
One bit of trivia about the list: when Emo Phillips (the comedian) came down to Touch Of Europe to sit in with Joel and Jim and the boys, I was a sideman on piano. And the first song he played on his clarinet was Out Of Nowhere. Now, Emo had learned clarinet as an adult, as a hobby, and was almost totally self-taught. And he played the first verse of Out Of Nowhere an octave lower. Fantastic...
Gotta go. Number eleven is from Beethoven's Missa Solemnis... I was wondering if the classical stuff was going to make an appearance.

Just as Dublin is one of the most-visited cities in the world...
...we hope McNally's Irish Pub in Sioux Falls is one of the most-visited bars in the area Friday and Saturday night. Brother Jon and I will be performing duos, including, but not limited to, songs about dogs.
Leave your favorite dog songs in the comments--
